This building was once the convent of the Carthusian friars. They would appear to have arrived from a charterhouse in Monte Gaudio in Assago, later dissolved and transferred to Milan and the charterhouse of Garegnano. Casa Tazzini still has a spacious courtyard surrounded by a portico which is closed in to create living quarters. The fine entrance has granite columns and a badly deteriorated fresco of a monk and the Madonna on the facade of what is currently the home of the Tazzini family. Inside, there are the initials of the fraternity in wrought iron: GRA=CAR (gratiarum – Cartusia) which stands for Certosa delle Grazie, the Charterhouse of the Graces.
