Mot. 10 - jpg

Ada Negri was born in Lodi on 3rd February 1870 and began her career as an elementary school teacher in Motta Visconti in 1888. The Ada Negri Museum is located in the ex-Sacristy of the church of San Rocco, adapted by the Parish of San Giovanni Battista to house the originals, manuscripts, letters and memorabilia which bear witness to her deep love for Motta Visconti and her bond with the ordinary folks which remained strong even during her period of glory in Rome. Most of the work displayed here are the fruit of research carried out in the town by former Parish Priest Don Felice Riva recently deceased, who left them to the Parish. The museum is part of the tourist route of the Consortium of local authorities on the Navigli of Albairate.
