Padregnana bridge

A stone bridge on the Naviglio Grande built in 1604, the date engraved in the centre of the beam on the upstream side. On the right of the bridge lies the historic Cascina Padregnana, with a votive fresco on the front depicting the crucifixion. A cycle path starts here that leads to the town of Robecchetto and crosses another ancient settlement, the village of Padregnano, founded around the year 1100 by Fruttuariensi monks. All that remains of the ancient convent is the entrance arch and the chapel of San Nicola.
