Palazzo Cagnola

On the little piazza, Palazzo Cagnola is home to the Town Hall. The Cagnola family took up residence here in the 17th century, before the marquis Luigi (1762-1833) went down in the history of architecture for his projects in Milan (Porta Ticinese, Arco della Pace) and Vienna. Of particular interest is the spacious inner courtyard which is overlooked by an octagonal tower known as the “Torre spagnola” or Spanish tower.
