Stallazzo Ecomuseo Adda di Leonardo
An open-air museum where the visitor can find out about the history, art and nature of the area. The Ecomuseum is entirely open-air and extends from the dam in Robbiate to the electrical power plant in Cornate d’Adda, mainly along the naviglio di Paderno. The trail has been divided into 14 stages which in turn are subdivided into 47 stations of historic or natural interest. The Ecomuseum owes its origins to the Rotary Club committee for the restoration of the locks on the Adda which first drew attention to the universal value of these places. It was in 1997 that Mario Riveda put forward the project for their restoration and with the support of the Regional Authorities the proposal was recognised by the European Union.
