The workers’ houses

Cresp.3

The tidy rows of worker’s houses with their gardens and vegetable patches are surely the most emblematic image of Crespi as well as being the heart of the Village. The simple but homely houses were far ahead of their time. It was Silvio Crespi, the son of the founder, who decided to imitate the workers’ houses he had seen on his travels in England. The houses are now private property and almost all occupied.
