Villa Birago Clari Monzini
This is one of the oldest villas (built between the 16th and 17th centuries) as well as one of the grandest on the right bank of the Naviglio Grande. It was once linked to the canal by an 800-metre long perspective avenue which cut across the great parklands punctuated by pairs of pillars which continued across the canal as far as the great exedra of Villa Negri. Quadrangular in structure, it is composed of four main buildings with a central courtyard. The layout seems to suggest that it arose on the site of the ancient castle of Lugagnano. The villa is currently private property.
