Villa del Maino a Casa di Caccia
This 18th century villa belonged to the family of the same name, feudal lords of Motta and Bereguardo. There is a great park to the rear. Dating back as far as the late 14th century, this is the oldest and best-preserved historical building in Motta. Rectangular in shape, one side of the two-storey building overlooks via Cavour, from which it is separated by a narrow courtyard. It was built as a shelter during the frequent hunting parties the Lords of Milan used to organise in these areas where game was so plentiful. The interior retains the wooden ceilings with enormous beams supported by decorative moulded supports. It is currently private property.
